Dr. Daryoush Mortazavi, PhD, P.Eng.
CEO & Technical Director

Dr. Daryoush Mortazavi founded SIRE in 2017. He is the CEO and CTO of SIRE, and works as a researcher and instructor in SIRE as well. He graduated in PhD of electrical Engineering and his research interest and expertise is in IoT, AI, bio-medical engineering, and nano-technology. He has 15+ practical engineering and academic experience in Industrial Automation, Control Systems, Industry 4.0 and AI.


Dr. Mahshid Kalani,
Research Officer

Dr. Mahshid Kalani joined SIRE in January 2019 as a research officer and researcher. She is expert in grant and proposal writing in our R&D projects and coordinating the progress of projects.


Dr. Mohammad Mikaeili, Bio-medical Engineering Researcher & Instructor

Dr. Mohammad Mikaeili joined SIRE in June 2020 as a researcher and instructor of Medical Instrumentation. He accepted the Synnovate’s offer to act as the program coordinator of our Bio-Medical department.
His main research interests are Biomedical signal processing (more specifically EEG) and Biomedical instrumentation with several published papers in these fields. He is the chairman of the board and co-founder of Hooshmand Fanavar Tehran (HFT) company since 1999. HFT is one of the leading companies in the field of Medical Laboratory and Brain research instrumentation.

Dr. Azam Rabiee
AI Researcher & Instructor

Dr. Azam Rabiee joined SIRE in March 2020 as the researcher and instructor of Artificial Intelligence (AI) course. As a PhD candidate, she visited Bain Science Research Center (BSRC) at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in South Korea from 2010 to 2011. She joined the Department of Computer Science at IAU as an assistant professor, from 2012 to 2017. From 2017 to 2019, she was a postdoctoral researcher at KAIST Institute for AI, South Korea. Her research interests include speech signal processing, machine learning, and deep learning.


Dr. Farid Rezaeian, CIVIL Engineering Program Coordinator and Instructor

Dr. Farid Rezaeian joined SIRE in June 2020 as the researcher and instructor in Civil Engineering. He accepted the Synnovate’s offer to act as the program coordinator of our Civil Engineering department.


Dr. Mohammad Baradaran, AI Researcher and Instructor

Dr. Mohammad Baradaran joined SIRE in July 2020 as the researcher and instructor of Artificial Intelligence and Python.

Mohammad is a computer vision researcher in the Computer Vision and Systems Laboratory (CVSL) in the department of ECE at Laval University, Canada. He received his B.Sc. in electronics engineering from Razi University, M.Sc. in telecommunications engineering from Sahand University of Technology (SUT) and pursued his PhD at Laval University. His research interests include deep learning, pattern recognition, and computer vision with a particular focus on anomaly detection and video analyzing.


Mr. Masih Omid, B.Eng.,
Computer Science Instructor

Mr. Masih Omid joined SIRE in July 2020 as an instructor. He is a software developer and trainer. Masih loves building high-grade complex software applications and communicating them with stakeholders and students. Masih has been in the software industry for over 15 years, working on complex software solutions in different domains. His expertise is on Java, JEE and Spring Framework, cloud-native applications and micro-service architecture.  He loves teaching and does it in his unique approach, making it usable for beginners. Masih does explain complex technical concepts in workshops and on his YouTube channel.

Mr. Behnam Nikkhah (Behn) joined SIRE in September 2020 as a the PMP instructor, where he is responsible for training, and instructing on how to become a PMP(®) (Project Management Professional) and CAPM (®) (Certified Associate in Project Management) certified.
Behn received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering received his PMP in 2013 and moved on to manage inspection projects as a Technical Project Manager using both waterfall/iterative and Agile methodologies in manufacturing and construction projects. He attained a Master’s degree in Manufacturing system engineering from the University Putra Malaysia and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Minnesota, USA.


Mrs. Mina Anvari Aria, Smart Home Designer

Mrs. Mina Anvari Aria is employed with Synnovate Institute of Research & Education (SIRE) as a supervisor, and technical executive in the construction and services project for our R&D team on the smart home.

Mina has been employed with SIRE from January 10, 2021. She is responsibilities at SIER include supervising the installation of architectural materials in structural, finishing projects, and assisting project installers with architectural finishing subjects such as all finishing in connection with smart buildings. In addition, checking and controlling all building codes, and other standards details in terms of matching implement quality with proposed designs.
